As we move through time, what does it mean to be a good ancestor?

Explore this question with Dance Artist Marla King in an informal conversation together as part of her residency with Impelo.

This is an invitation to delve deeper into questions around our values, our community and ways of being in relationship with the ecology we are part of. It will be a space for reflection and how a notion of being a good ancestor is embodied and may be embodied within us, and expressed beyond us as we move through life’s happenings.

Marla will be in Llandrindod on 13th and 14th September and would love to connect and exchange dialogue during this time.

  • If you would like to accept the invitation, or receive any further information please get in touch with marla98king@gmail.com

  • If neither of these September dates work for you and you’d still like to take part, please email marla98king@gmail.com with your availability and we can see if we can align a time.

  • Meetings can be between 30 mins to an hour. With the option of in person, Llandrindod based, or online.

The residency programme that Marla is currently part of has been nurturing 10 dance artists in Powys in exploring their practice with different community groups, with a view to develop new strands of work at Impelo as we continue to adapt our work in line with our shifted funding situation.

Marla’s residency has been made possible with funding from the UK Government through Powys County Council Shared Prosperity Funding.
